Frigate Engraved Scrimshaw Ox Bone Compass Box

Inspired by the scrimshaw tradition born on New England whaling ships, this compass box is a distinctive nod to American maritime history. Each piece features natural ox-bone tiles engraved in the USA with an antique reproduction of an American frigate ship. The 3" × 3" × 1-1/8" box houses a working 1-3/4" brass-bound compass set into a sturdy wood-composite base.
