This lockback knife's handle is inlaid with fossilized mammoth tusk ivory in rich shades of golden-brown. The back is inlaid with Danish birch.

The blade is made of Damascus steel; this particular type of Damascus steel comes from Japan and is called "Sanmai Damascus" or Sandwich Damascus. There is a core of vg-10 steel with 16 layers of stainless steel on each side to produce a rust free Damascus look blade.

Mammoths were large, elephant-like mammals that lived during the Ice Age. They roamed across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, thriving in cold, grassy environments. The most well-known species, the woolly mammoth, had long curved tusks and a thick coat to survive harsh climates. Most mammoths went extinct about 10,000 years ago, though small populations survived until around 4,000 years ago.
