This is a real, male buckeye butterfly, commonly referred to as the "brilliant blue". True to its name, this butterfly is a lovely, glowing, intense blue color! It is set over a black velvet background in a vintage-style round black and gold frame, which is fitted with both a hook for hanging an easel to allow it to stand on a shelf or a desk.
