This is an authentic bone fragment from a Tyrannosaurus skeleton, obtained from a private dig in Montana, USA. The bone is protected in a floating frame, and includes an information card and a certificate of authenticity.

Tyrannosaurus is a genus of large theropod dinosaur originating in what is now western North America. The adults measured up to 40 feet in length and seven to nine tons in weight, and were capable of a bite force of over 5,000 pounds per square inch.

Most paleontologists today believe that tyrannosaurus was both a scavenger and an apex predator, preying on hadrosaurs, ankylosaurs, and sauropods.
